The Girls' Bracket Challenge Picks
Think you can beat Jaime Edmondson's bracket picks? How about the FSU-super fan Kari Nautique? See how you stack up against all the Playboy girls celebrity college basketball bracket picks below.
Dani Mathers
A self-described "Jane of all trades", Dani Mathers has certainly earned her stripes here at Playboy: boasting ten pictorials, countless video appearances and starring in four of our Playboy TV shows, Dani has pretty much done it all. Did we mention she also plays Danica on Bold and the Beautiful? Its certainly a fitting role; Dani is both bold and beautiful. "I was brought up playing in the mud, cheerleading and playing volleyball, and I can’t seem to keep my mouth shut."
Dani Mathers
Amanda Cerny
Amanda Cerny is not just another pretty face; Miss October 2012 is a thrill-seeker, a world traveler, a humanitarian, a straight A student, and a black belt in karate. She's lived in five different states, toured Europe, been sky-diving, bungee jumping and zip-lining, studies international affairs at FSU, and sat on the advisory council in Jacmel, Haiti, following the countries devestating earthquake. Plans for slowing down? not likely: “I have a lot on my plate,” she says, “but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Amanda Cerny
Kylie Johnson
In her Playmate bio a joke is made that begs repeating: "She was born in central California, raised in upstate New York, and now she goes to school in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she’s studying to become a nurse and an anesthetist – a fitting title for such a knockout." We couldn't agree more. The stunning Miss February 2011 has a few more surprises: she contrasts her love of Heavy Metal ("“My favorite bands are As Blood Runs Black, Miss May and Despised Icon,”) with a love for John Steinbeck novels and Phantom of the Opera.
Kylie Johnson
Jade Bryce
Jade Bryce has an interesting back story: originally from Austin, Texas, she attended 18 different schools, has traveled across four different continents, currently has a gig as MMA ring girl and donates most of the money she makes modelling to charity. “I don’t think that ‘glamour model’ and ‘humanitarian aid worker’ have to be mutually exclusive terms," she says. I think that my fame as a model will help me to raise awareness for the causes I believe in.” Figures: She studied nonprofit management and third world development in school.
Jade Bryce
Pilar Lastra
Things you'll need to accomplish to keep pace with Playmate Pilar Lastra: first and foremost, become a Playmate; she's Miss August 2004. Second, rebuild a Ford Mustang, drive it across the country and literally write a book (she's actually written two) on cars. Three, get named to People Magazine's list of 100 Most Beautiful People. Four: star in a handful of big network TV shows, host your own radio program on Sirius XM, and test drive cars for a Playboy web series. We could go on but we'll stop there; no need to brag.
Pilar Lastra
Kari Nautique
Hailing from the Sunshine State, Kari Nautique is not one to hide her bias. Her twitter account is riddled with FSU shout outs: "Getting my tomahawk arm on right now", "whoop whoop #GoNoles". Its safe to say she's a fan. She's also Playboy.com's Cyber Girl of the Month for June 2012, a medical aesthetician, and in her own words "a great cook." Now living in L.A., Kari enjoys surfing, playing video games and as any of a subscribers well know: being naked. "If you're going to naked, why not get naked for Playboy?" True say, Kari, true say.
Kari Nautique
Nikki Leigh
Armed with a bachelor's degree in sociology (Golden Key honors at Cal State Fullerton), some worldy experience (a semester abroad in Italy, not to mention stop overs in Tokyo and Beijing), and striking good looks, Miss May 2012, Nikki Leigh, is what one might call the full package. She says it was her dream from the age of 13 to be a Playmate and it only took a single photo for us to make that happen; when she came in for her first test shoot (her first modelling gig!), we knew right away that she was a Playmate, through and through.
Nikki Leigh
Jennifer Vaughn
It came as only mild surprise that Jennifer Vaughn was named Cyber Girl of the Year 2013. Afterall, she already claimed Cyber Girl of the Week and Month and garnered international acclaim, appearing in six different editions of Playboy, being deemed by our Italian brothers to be "ultimate sex symbol". But they might be partial; Vaughn is part Italian...and part Spanish...and part Slovak and Czech. But mostly she's a down-home kind of gal: "I'm from Houston...I've got that Southern hospitality."
Jennifer Vaughn
Raquel Pomplun
Growing up first in Tijuana and then Chula Vista, California, Miss Raquel Pomplun, or should we say Miss April 2012, was what some of us would call a whiz. "“I can solve almost any math problem,” she says. Which is more than we can say for ourselves. When not unraveling the earth's many riddles, Raquel models and her test shoot so impressed us we put her on our Sex and Music issue alongside Bruno Mars (who rumor has it, developed a bit of a crush of Miss Pomplun). Between gigs and math for fun, Raquel is pursuing an advanced degree in biochemical engineering...
Raquel Pomplun
Amber Sym
Beach blondes from Florida? Forget 'em. Hailing from Orlando, Amber Sym is a natural brunette (and, ahem, natural elsewhere too). Among other things (beach bum, rock climber, SINGLE!) Amber is a foodie with an envious metabolism: "“I can eat like a pig without gaining a pound,” she says, a little smug. “I love carbs. It’s a beautiful thing.” Much like Amber. Of posing in Playboy she says: “I’ve always loved the female figure, and Playboy is one of the few that knew how to depict it in an elegant manner."
Amber Sym
Jessa Hinton
This is Jessa Hinton, perhaps you know her? You should; Miss July 2011 has become one of the most recognizable faces in Vegas, the poster child if you will of the Palms Hotel and Liquid Pool. Or maybe you recognize her from her roles on the hit series' Baywatch or 7th Heaven? Maybe she's kicked your ass? She's trained in mixed martial arts. Whatever the reason (it could be that the 5'9" blonde bombshell is tough to miss) you'll be seeing a lot more of her: "“Promotional modeling is great,” she says, “but someday I want to be my own global brand.”
Jessa Hinton
Leanna Decker
What is it about red-heads that turn heads? Leanna Decker sure can; the once quiet kid from South Carolina is anything but these days, quiet that is. Her numerous pictorials and videos on Playboy.com have caused quite a stir over the years, so much so that our fans saw fit to vote her in a Cyber Girl of the Year 2012. “I’ve always wanted to model for Playboy,” she says, “but never thought it would be my reality.” Needless to say, we're quite happy it did.
Leanna Decker
Lauren Elise
We could tell you that Lauren Elise is from Dallas, Texas and while that would be true, it wouldn't really do the Cyber Girl of the Month for September 2012 justice. “If I have a few days off, I’ll pack my bags and get the heck outta dodge,” she says. “Traveling is one of the most important parts of my life.” TV isn't: "I don't watch TV at all. I don't know anything about it." Which is funny considering that she stars in Playboy TV's Playboy Trip: Patagonia and has appeared in more than a few videos for us.
Lauren Elise
Ashley Zeitler
Stop us if you've heard this one before: Beautiful, devil-may-care kinda girl gets talked into auditioning for Playboy on a whim and goes from the small-town feel of San Antonio to the big city streets of L.A. in the blink of an eye. That's Ashley Zeitler's story. The self-described "T-shirt and jeans" type, Ashley spends her down-time camping, hanging out at the lake and loving country music. “I’m just a Texas girl trying to make it in the big world.”
Ashley Zeitler
Victoria Winters
If we had to describe Victoria Winters in one word it would be: bombshell. Tall (5'8" guys...), blonde and blessed with crystal clear blue eyes, she's straight out of a storybook. Growing up in Riner, Virginia, a small town she says "where there are more cows than people," Victoria has hung on to her roots: she can ride dirt bikes, catch a fish and knock 'em back with the boys. We suppose the old saying is true then: You can take the girl out of country, but you can;t take the country out of the girl.
Victoria Winters
Chloe Miranda
NERD ALERT! Chloe Miranda's in the house. You might know her from Playboy.com's Comic-Con 2012 coverage; she made the rounds in San Diego and is a self-proclaimed gamer, but don;t call her a couch potato. “I was a cheerleader for five years in high school, and I danced for seventeen,” she explains. “I also ran track on a full scholarship in college and was nationally ranked in the heptathlon and triple jump.” Want another curveball? “I was raised Buddhist,” says Chloe. “That’s why I’m so calm.”
Chloe Miranda
Whitney Whitekirk
How many country songs have been written about a lovestruck little boy falling for the girl next door who, oh I don't know, happens to work in a souvenir shop in a small valley like Jackson Hole, Wyoming? Maybe that's a little specific but the theme is there. Well, that little girl would have been Whitney Whitekirk (and you would have been that boy). Though she currently lives in Las Vegas she says going home is always worth it: “Everybody knows everybody,” she says, “and the bartender lets me keep a tab because he knows where I live.”
Whitney Whitekirk
Summer Altice
Summer Altice is 5'11". A former volleyball standout at SDSU and UCLA and statuesque model for Mossimo, Guess and Mademoiselle it's easy to assume that might lead a semi-chamred life but that is categorically incorrect: "The thing about modeling is, if you become a deer in the headlights about the fame, parties and meeting people, it will overcome you." Articulate, thoughtful and unpretentious, Summer has taken her love of music to new heights, turning tracks as a DJ and probably more often than once, being noticed as Playboy's Miss August.
Summer Altice
Rachel Shine
Guys, fair warning: If you want to get close to Rachel Shine, you've got competition: "I'm an animal lover; I've got a cat, a dog, a parrot and a hamster." And we're willing to bet boys, that you're not as cute or cuddly as any of them. Once a "wild child," Rachel says she has "mellowed out": "My long term goal is to become a psychologist and my short term goal is to get my pharmacist technician license."
